O’FARRELL – Kenneth R. Sr., 81, Nanty Glo, died Dec. 5, 2010, at home. Born Feb. 8, 1929, in Stonycreek Township, son of the late Edward and Rose (Rummell) O’Farrell. Preceded in death by sister, Beatrice, and infant son, Mark. Survived by wife, former Mary Lou McCully, whom he was married to for 54 years; children, Kenneth Jr., Gregory and Brian, all of Nanty Glo; Leslie Ollinger, and husband, Jeffrey, Hollidaysburg; Linda Geisel, and husband, John, Windber; and Donna Panaro, and husband, Joseph, Honey Brook, Pa.; and grandchildren, Patrick, Sara and Michael Ollinger. Brother of June Wick, Edward Jr. and Richard, all of Nanty Glo; Geraldine Wagner, and husband, Edward, Homer City; and Francis, and wife, Ginger, Nanty Glo. Retired from Beth Energy coal mines. Veteran of U.S. Army. Member of UMWA Local 1386. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Asa Sherman officiating. Interment, Pike Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conemaugh Hospice or American Cancer Society.
