STETSON – Madison Kathleen, 13, Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, was called to be a heavenly angel on Dec. 7, 2010. She was born Aug. 25, 1997, in Yuma, Ariz., beautiful daughter of Anthony S. and Rebecca (Sloan) Castiglione. She is preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Eugene and Kathleen Sloan and David and Rita Mae Hurley, and a cousin, Bryan Beck. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Owen, and their puppy, Rocco, at home; sister, Marcie, wife of Kevin Brown; nephew, Kevin Anthony Brown, Wilmore; sister, Annette, wife of Jeff Mucci, Cannonsburg; very special aunt, Marianne Sloan, Ebensburg; uncle, Gary Sloan; cousin, Taylor, both of Ocean City, Md.; aunt, Debbie Castiglione, Johnstown; Pop Pop and Gramma, Roy and Patricia Holtz, Johnstown; Pap Pap and Fru Fru, Terry and Julie Sloan; and “cousin,” Nicole, all of Ebensburg; Gaga, Victoria Castiglione, Johnstown; her loving Godmother, Elizabeth Hurley, Ebensburg; special uncle, Will; aunt, Amy; their children, Koby and Kallie Polaski, all of Pittsburgh; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins she cherished dearly including her special fellas, Donnie, Jimmie, Zander and Jack. Madison enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends from Conemaugh Valley, St. Patrick’s School and Central Cambria. Madison loved playing basketball and playing for the Johnstown Inn softball team, who won the 2009 team championship for CVYL. Madison also enjoyed listening to all kinds of music all of the time. She has touched countless lives with those bright blue eyes and intoxicating smile; she will be missed dearly. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service at 2 p.m. Friday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, the Rev. Michael A. VanDyke, officiating. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Madison.
