Obituary of Julia Marie Lanzendorfer

LANZENDORFER– Julia Marie (Hornick), 93, Twin Rocks, died Jan. 2, 2011, at home. Born Nov. 24, 1917, in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late John and Johanna (Koval) Hornick. Preceded in death by husband, Wilfred J., who died in 1992, granddaughter, Joy Lynn Hagens Nagle, who died in 1996; sister, Anne H. Campbell; and brother, John Paul Hornick. Survived by three daughters, Carol Marie, wife of Eugene Cooney, Johnstown; Darice, wife of Edmund Hagens, Revloc; and Patricia, wife of Perry Sheesley, Vintondale; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael Hornick, Bedford, Ohio. Member of the former SS. Timothy and Mark Church, Twin Rocks. Julia will be remembered dearly as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family and the role of homemaker. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Martin Cingle, celebrant.
