OBLINSKY - George "Pud" Jr., 82, Nolo, passed away at his residence, May 20, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 28, 1923, in Nanty Glo, son of the late George and Mary Oblinsky Sr. Preceded in death by wife, Ann Oblinsky; son, George III; granddaughter, Sarah Oblinsky; great-grandson, Trent Powell; and brother, John. Surviving are wife, Shirley, Nolo; children, Stephen, Penn Runn; John, and wife, Teresa, Summerhill; Tina Longazel, and husband, Jerome, Summerhill; Annette Caramadre, and husband, Philip, Altoona; Michael, and fiancee, Patty Vaphides, Strongstown; Kathryn Cameron, and husband, Ronald, Mineral Point; Nancy, Altoona; and Deborah Skeleton, and husband, Pat, Florida; very special son-in-law and friend, Robert Funyak, and wife, Charolette, Florida; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers, Steve, Illinois, and Tom, Lebanon; sisters, Mary Younkin, Ebensburg; Anna Mae Ansier, Illinois; and Irene Malesky and Theresa Manculich, both of Nanty Glo. Member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church; VFW, Post 3489; and UMWA Local 1386, all of Nanty Glo. Served in the Navy during World War II. Worked 32 years in Bethlehem Mines in Nanty Glo. George was an avid hunter and fisherman. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a Parastas service will be held at 3 p.m. A Panachida will be offered Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church, Nanty Glo, Father Ronald W. Borsuk, celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military services will be conducted by the local veteran organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Indiana Hospice, Visiting Nurses Association, or St. Nicholas Church Fund.
