Obituary of Stanley F. Lasinsky

LASINSKY - Stanley F. "Stush", 87, of Nanty Glo, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2006 . Born August 18, 1919 in Ernest, Pa, son of the late Charley and Kostantin (Koulitk) Lasinsky. Preceded in death by wife, former Harriet (McLaren) Watson, grandson Vincent Little, Jr.; brothers Charles, Frank, and John, and sisters Mary Fitzpatrick and Bernadine Ardini. Survived by children, Joy (Vince) Little; Jo Marie (Stan) Popich and David "Ed" (Vicky Kruper) Watson and grandchildren, Michele Shuhayda, Stephen Popich, David (Kelly Jo Fisher) Popich, Brittany and Cody Watson. Great Grandchildren, Zachary and Kassandra Shuhayda; Corey Hoover; Cole Popich, and Emily Jo Popich. Brother of: Connie Stephens; Ann Piazza; Helen Lasinsky; Irene (Chuck) Fornari; Joe Lasinsky; Walter (Jessie Trexler) Lasinsky and Bill (Shirley Lyons) Lasinsky. Retired from Bethlehem Mines Corp. Member UMWA. Stush enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, the Rev. Alfred Gallaher officiating. Interment United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donation in Stush's memory may be made to the Nanty Glo Fire Co.
