Obituary of Catherine Datsko

DATSKO – Catherine (Legdon), 93, Ebensburg, formerly of Colver, died June 18, 2011, at Conemaugh Hospital. Born April 30, 1918, in Janesville, daughter of Wasco and Eva Legdon. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John; granddaughter, Taryn; brothers, Frank and Bill; and sisters, Anne, Helen, Marge and Mary. Survived by sons, John “Tom,” Madison, Conn., and Robert (Connie), Ebensburg, and grandchildren, Ellen (Keith) Trasko, Bullard, Texas, and Paul, Avon, Colorado. Sister of Irene Leri, Florida. Catherine was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. Member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Catherine’s family wishes to send their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery.
