FULTON - Arthur “Archie,” 65, of Colver passed away peacefully June 30, 2011 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Born October 24, 1945 in Colver, son of the late Robert and Aldine Fulton. Survived by wife Antonette “Toni” to whom he was married for 42 years; daughter Rhonda (Michael) Platt, Colorado; and son Jason Fulton, of Pittsburgh; brothers: Bob Fulton, Harrisburg and Dick (Karen) Fulton, Hastings, sisters: Carole Watson, Idaho and JoLynn (Gene) Roush, of Nanty Glo. Arthur had been a driver for Marion Center Supply Co. and had worked for the former Eastern Gas and Fuel Company and Bethlehem Mines. Archie was proud to be an Army veteran, and served in the 725 Company Maintenance Battalion, 25th Infantry during the Vietnam War. A life member of VFW Post 4963 and American Legion Post 363, of Ebensburg. A former member the Colver Sportsman Club and UMWA. Friends will be received from 3-7 pm. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg where a funeral service will be held 11:00 am., Wednesday, the Rev. Marvin Lowery officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, with graveside military ritual by the Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arthur’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
