Obituary of Charlotte Wolf

Wolf, Charlotte (Lane), 89, Ebensburg, died at home July 9, 2011. Born March 2, 1922, daughter of the late Harry S. and Charlotte (Richards) Lane. Preceded in death by husband Donald J. Wolf; and sister, Priscilla Lane Grindle. Also Preceded in death by special son, Lane A. Wolf, and infant son and daughter, Douglas and Priscilla. Survived by daughters; Ellen (Wolf) Grove and Sarah (Wolf) Wess and son-in-law Theodore Wess. Also survived by grandchildren; James L. Grove, Charlotte (Lottie) Grove and Alex Wess, Bruce L. Wess and Victor L. Wess. Charlotte graduated from Ebensburg Cambria High and From Cambria Rowe Business College. She was secretary to Walter E. Rose and secretary to purchasing agent for Huffman-Wolfe Co. Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg, PA. Enlisted in the Navy (WAVES) WWII, stationed at San Francisco Federal Building and Mare Island ship building as yoeman in communication and cryptology. After WWII Charlotte was employed by the Veterans Administration, Johnstown. Owner operator Appledale Golf Course and Banquet Room, Ebensburg. At the request of Charlotte, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday July 17, at the Appledale Golf Course Banquet Room.
