FLANAGAN – James, 71, Nanty Glo, died July 31, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. Survived by wife of 50 years, Marie, who was his high school sweetheart, Nanty Glo; sister, Lily (Ralph) Swartz, Millville, N.J.; brother, Patrick (Peggy), Conemaugh; and was loved by his very special nieces and nephews and very special best friend, Molly. He was affiliated with Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Nanty Glo. A U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Nanty Glo Water Authority, where he worked for 33 years. Jim always had a beautiful garden and loved working in it. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Parastas will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Father George Hnatko, celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Veteran service will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
