Obituary of Kevin J. Dolan

DOLAN – Kevin J., 37, of Pittsburgh, and a native of Mundys Corner, passed away suddenly September 9, 2011 at home in Pittsburgh. Born June 7, 1974 in Johnstown, son of Thomas D. and Mary E. (Burke) Dolan. Survived by parents of Mundys Corner, and brothers and sisters: Thomas D. Jr. (Brenda), Ebensburg; Carleen M. (Bob) Keilman, Mundys Corner; Terriann Dolan (Richard) Crepeau, Charleston, South Carolina; Karen (Ken) Dressler, Ebensburg; Raymond (Jessica) Dolan, New Orleans; and cherished nieces and nephews: Jessica and Thomas Dolan III, Ryan, Brendan, and Kelsey Dolan, Robert & Colette Keilman, Michael Keilman, Amanda and Keith Dolan, Kenny and Bradley Dressler, Ashley Dolan, and Blake and Kalyn. Kevin was a graduate of Holy Name School and Bishop Carroll High School, Class of 1992. He attended college at Charleston, South Carolina and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He attained his Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he had been working on his doctorate. Kevin’s passions included his family, and a love for healthy living for everyone, especially children. He served on the Board of Directors for Dreams of Hope, a group that serves underprivileged and abused children. He was the owner/operator, with his friend and business partner Dale Trozzo of “Healthy Lifestyes” a gym and health center located in Wexford. Kevin also enjoyed volunteering and had done volunteer work overseas. A member of the Johnstown B.P.O.E. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m, Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held Monday. The family will also gather at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to Bishop Carroll High School or to Dreams of Hope in Kevin’s memory.
