MASTRINE – Rose S., 89, Colver, died Sept. 8, 2011, at Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria. Born Aug. 1, 1922, in Colver, daughter of George and Anna (Melnyk) Semko. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Guido; brothers, Charles, Michael and George; sisters, Julia and Nellie; and stepbrother, John. Survived by children, Judith, Rosemarie, Richard, Jim and Susan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews; also stepbrothers, Steve and James. Formerly employed by Central Cambria School District, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver. Friends received from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where Rosary will be said Sunday afternoon. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver, the Rev. Bernard Grega. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Colver Fire Company in Rose’s memory.
