McCONNELL – Marie Catherine, 96, Ebensburg, died Sept. 7, 2011, at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born Dec. 13, 1914, in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Flora (Charles) Leitenberger. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard “Dick”; and brothers, William; Francis, and wife, Rosemary; and George, and wife, Helen. Survived by son, Raymond, and wife, Sis McConnell, Portage; grandchildren, Anne Doyka, Patrick Doyka, David McConnell (Pam) and Mary McConnell; great-grandchildren, Zachary Doyka, Ricky Doyka and Sam Dyka; and stepgrandchildren, Adam Magyar and Brandon Magyar. Former owner of One Hour Cleaners and Western Auto Supply, both of Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
