BISCHKO – Robert W., 69, a resident of Cranberry Township for the past 15 years, entered into rest Sept. 20, 2011, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer and kidney disease, at H.J. Heinz Care Center, Pittsburgh, with his longtime companion, Karen Baker, by his side. Born April 26, 1942, in Nanty Glo, son of Joseph and Dorothy (Glass) Bischko. Following graduation from Nanty Glo-Vintondale High School in 1959, he entered the U.S. Air Force. He had been in the IT profession for the past 50 years and also had his own RBE consulting group business, Your Emergency Room Computer Doctor, which he was known by. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Kenneth; son, Robert; and young daughter, Patricia. Survived by longtime companion, Karen Baker; daughters, Theresa (Keith) Jackson, Texas; and Jannine (Scott) Jones, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael, Brianna, Robert and Andra (Sean) New; also brother, Donald, and sister-in-law, Arlene, Chehalis, Wash. The family would like to extend their unending gratitude to his loving companion for all the support and the countless ways in which she showed love and devotion during this difficult journey. Deepest gratitude also is extended to the doctors and nurses at H.J. Heinz Progressive Care Center, Aspinwall, Pa. Bob will be sorely missed by his family and friends who will always remember his generosity and great sense of humor. He will be missed by his devoted cat, Flint. He was an avid golfer and jogger, and had a passion for computers, cooking and life. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 23, at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home Inc., 1102 Cardiff Roda, Nanty Glo, followed by funeral Mass at noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, Father Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Veterans service will be conducted by Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
