WESLEY – Alyce M., 90, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully October 8, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born April 29, 1921 in Summerhill, PA, daughter of the late Celestine and Elizabeth (Myers) McGough. Preceded in death by husband, John, on February 21, 2010, and brothers and sister. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children, Kathryn, wife of Anthony Belgin; and David and wife Lisa, all of Ebensburg, and grandchildren: Tonya (Belgin) wife of Dr. David Drexler, of Kildeer, Illinois; Jason Belgin, of Kildeer, Illinois; and Benjamin and Emily Wesley, of Ebensburg; great grandchildren, Aidan, Ari, and Alayna Drexler and Sofia Belgin. Also survived by her special cat “Spook”. Alyce retired from Ebensburg Center after 20 years of service as an aid. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mundy’s Corner, the Ebensburg VFW Ladies Auxillary, and the Hollidaysburg Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc. Ebensburg. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Nelson Ilgenfritz officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of other memorials, the family suggests contributions in Alyce's memory be made to the Cambria County Humane Society or the Alzheimers Association.
