MALONE – Doris M., 87, Ebensburg, died Oct. 11, 2011, at Meadow View Manor, Ebensburg. Born Nov. 7, 1923, in Philadelphia, daughter of Fred and Katherine (Kane) Schrank. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James; an infant son; and brother, Walter. Survived by sons, James P. (Helena) Newark, Del.; and Robert (Carol), Colver; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Retired from L.R. Kimball, Ebensburg, with more than 30 years of service. Life member of Catholic Daughters of the America’s Court 680. Doris enjoyed reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and cooking. She will be missed by her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Thursday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Name School Angel Fund in Doris’ memory.
