MACHUTA – John B. “ Jack,” 78, Ebensburg, died Nov. 11, 2011, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 24, 1933, in Colver, son of Andrew Sr. and Mary (Hartack) Machuta. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Helen Vinich; brothers, Andrew Jr., Edward and Ronald; and sisters, Julia Soyka, Irene Holoka and Delores Marsh. Survived by son, John B. “Jack” Jr., married to the former Ellen Dugan, Mundys Corner, and grandchildren, John B. III and Stephanie (Brandon Detwiler). Brother of Stephen (Mary) Machuta, Ebensburg, and James (Rachel) Machuta, San Bernardino, Calif. Also very special friend, Donna Goodrich, Nicktown. Jack was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh for teaching. He was an instructor for auto mechanics with IU8, Ebensburg. Formerly employed by Edwards Motors and Falchini Motors, both of Ebensburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
