Margaret H. "Peg" Jenkins Obituary
Margaret H. "Peg" Jenkins, 86, of Ligonier, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. She was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Frank and Clara Shumar Jenkins. She attended the Covenant Presbyterian Church of Ligonier and was a member of the Laurel Highlands Knitting Guild. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, the Rev. F. Edmund Jenkins; two daughters, Marcia Jenkins, of New York, N.Y., and Beth Chill, and her husband, Bram, of Evanston, Ill.; two sons, Neil E. Jenkins and his wife, Heidi, of Glenview, Ill., and Gary T. Jenkins and his wife, Michele, of Bridgeville; six grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Hunter, of Johnstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith Jenkins; and a brother, Edward Hunter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the J. PAUL MCCRACKEN FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. William Thwing officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery, Stahlstown.
