Obituary of Donald Allen Hildebrand

Donald Allen Hildebrand, 74, of Oriskany, a native of Colver, died on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Rome Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1937, in Colver, PA, a son of the late John C. and Wilda A. Hill Hildebrand. He graduated from Ebensburg Cambria High in 1955 and the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1960. He married Edna Farabaugh on April 23, 1959, in Holy Name Church, Ebensburg, PA. Donald was a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He worked for 32 years at Rome Air Development Center at Griffiss Air Force Base. He was of the Methodist faith. Donald is survived by his wife, Edna Hildebrand of Oriskany; son, David A. Hildebrand; a daughter Ann Marie DeForest and her husband, Edward; grandchildren, Amanda and Corrine Hildebrand and Stephen DeForest and a great-grandson, Brody. He was predeceased by his brother, Jon Frederick Hildebrand. The services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, PA.
