NORRIS – Thomas L., 80, Vintondale, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 15, 2012, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born in 1931, in Monocacy, to John and Elizabeth (Gauger) Norris. Tom attended Black Lick Community United Methodist Church. He retired from Allegheny Farm Equipment in 2002 as a mechanic. Tom enjoyed hard work, woodworking, hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He will be loved and missed by all those who knew him. Tom was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Survived by wife of 60 years and 8 months, Janet L. (Milligan) Norris, Vintondale; daughters, Linda L. Schiel, Punxsutawney; Sandy Brink, and husband, Bill, Dayton; Bonnie Houser, and husband, Ed, Dilltown; and Laurie Hill, Dayton; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois, Ruth, Helen and Mary; brothers, John and Richard Norris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Patricia Norris; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Robert Norris. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Black Lick Community United Methodist Church, Pastor Johnathan Bell, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Black Lick Community United Methodist Church, 1453 Bracken Road, Vintondale, Pa. 15961.
