DAVIS - Marian B. (Edwards), 89 of Ebensburg, passed away suddenly on July 30, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 31, 1922 in Cambria Twp., PA., daughter of the late Russell J. and Nellie (Bloom) Edwards. Preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Jay Davis, who died December 17, 1995 and sister Louise Gittings. Survived by children: Russell J. (Linda) Davis of Kannopolis, NC; Susan (Ronald) Baumgardner of South Fork; and Rebecca (James) Reese of New Castle; 9 grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by brother: W. Griffith Edwards of Ebensburg. Member of Ebensburg First United Church of Christ (Congregational) where she was a member of the Woman's Fellowship. Marian was an avid reader and a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Drives. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Pastor Chuck Davis, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. Contributions in Marian’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
