YOBBAGY – Helen S., 91, the Winds at Mattern Orchard, Duncansville, formerly of Twin Rocks and Philadelphia, passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2012, at the Winds. Born June 8, 1921 in Cherry Tree, daughter of the late John and Millie (Clark) Sommerville. Last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Yobbagy; three brothers; and five sisters. Survived by her loving nephew, Russell (Jane) Rupe, Cresson; cousin, Pauline Sommerville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Helen graduated from Indiana State Teachers College and did post graduate work at Temple University. She was a retired first grade teacher for Twin Rocks and Philadelphia elementary schools. At Helen’s request, there will be no visitation or viewing. An entombment service will be held at West Laurel Hill Cemetery’s Mausoleum of Peace, Bala Cynwyd, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Askew-Houser Funeral Home Inc., Ebensburg.
