ADAMS – Dorothy W. (Gardner), 98, Twin Rocks, died Oct. 4, 2012, at Cambria Care Center. Born Feb. 5, 1914, in Duncansville, daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Nale) Gardner. Preceded in death by husband, John C. Adams; son, David Adams; granddaughter, Teresa Adams Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Linda Adams; brothers, Harry R. “Bub” (Arlene) Gardner and George Gardner; and sisters, Zada (Herbert) Rager and Marjorie (Roy) Reese. Survived by daughter, Shirley Clifford; son, John J. Adams, and daughter-in-law, Florence Adams; grandchildren, Michelle (Ron) Pate, Mark Clifford, Mark (Deanna) Adams, Tammy (Michael) Cusick, Keith Adams, Danielle (Mike) Williamson and Robert Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Taylor Pitroff, Eric Cusick, Kelly Cusick, Emily Williamson, Jessica Williamson, Aubrey Williamson, Shannon Williamson and Robert Hamilton Jr.; sisters, Lucienne “Tart” (Roscoe) Bracken, Audry “Dolly” (Richard) Harvey and Althea “Honey” “Adaline” (Virgil) Humphrey; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Dorothy enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed planting and taking care of her flowers, and loved when the leaves turned colors in the fall. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Asa Sherman, officiating. Internment to follow at Belsano United Brethren Cemetery.
