EAGER - CONSTANCE "CONNIE", 84, of Cresson, passed away peacefully October 19, 2012 at home. Born December 9, 1927 in Altoona, daughter of the late Warren L. and Edith (Callan) Litzinger. Preceded in death by husband Donald J. Eager; sisters Mary Jane Honeywell and Judy Connacher, brother Wayne Litzinger and infant brother Thomas. Survived by daughters: Joan Eager, of Cresson and Jane, wife of Deacon Richard Golden, Summerhill. Also survived by grandchildren: Rick Jr. (Bobbie) Golden; Amy (Mike) Ball; Matthew (Beth) Golden; Justine (Troy) Kunrod; Jolene (Casey) Myers; , 14 great grandchildren and her special cats "Ruby" and "Pearl". A member of St Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Cresson and an associate member of the Legion of Mary. She graduated from the former Mount Aloysius Academy in 1945 and the Mount's Junior College in 1947. Connie loved to sing, and in her youth was a regular participant in the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera's Broadway Productions, including "Showboat", "Red Mill" and "Babes in Toyland". Special thanks are extended to Connie's caregivers: Bev & Joann, Dr. Mark Ratchford and Dr. Sara Warehime, the Windber Hospice and the staff of the Cresson Rite Aid Pharmacy. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where a Legion of Mary Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. and a vigil prayer service will also be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Monday at St. Aloysius Church, the Very Rev. Father John Byrnes, celebrant. Committal at Sherbine Cemetery, Summerhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Windber Hospice or the All Saints Catholic School, Cresson.
