Obituary of John T. Hoffman

HOFFMAN – John T., 64, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully November 12, 2012 at home. Born July 12, 1948 in Colver, son of the late Olin B. and Helen (Walwro) Hoffman. Preceded in death by infant daughter Lee Ann Hoffman, and sister Linda (Hoffman) Lambie. Survived by wife, Anna Nelen, to whom he shared a relationship of 38 years, and children: Colleen, wife of Scott Keith, Diamondville; Nicole Richardson and companion Rich Rager, Ebensburg; and Wayne Hoffman, of Northern Cambria. Also survived by grandchildren: Shawn & Jessica Keith, Taylor Richardson, and Leigha Hoffman; John’s companion and buddy “Koda” and numerous aunts and uncles. John lived for his kids, dog, and his home. He was a truck driver for 42 years and had been employed by Birks, Merlo, and Tokarsky Trucking Companies, and had also worked a time as a driver for Patton Beverage. A special thanks to John’s caregivers, Conemaugh Home Health Services, Cambria Care, as well as the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, followed by an evening funeral service at 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Private interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association.
