Obituary of Joseph M. Baum

BAUM – Joseph M., 31, Cresson, died Nov. 6, 2012, at Altoona Regional Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1981, in Cresson, son of Mary E. (Murray) Estep, Cresson, and John Baum, Lilly. Preceded in death by sister, Sydnie Nicole Estep; father, Allen Lee Estep; cousin, Tyler Montgomery; and grandparents, Leo and Mary Ann Murray, June Baum and Leelan and Aline Estep. Survived by brother, Craig, Cresson; grandfather, Jack Baum, Cresson; close family friend and caregiver, Pete Rickens; family caregivers, Aggie Gailey and Toni Hughes; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and half brother and half sister. A 1999 graduate of Penn Cambria High School, Cresson. He had formerly been employed at Tyco Telecommunications, Baltimore, as a fiber optic technician. He loved football, and was a big Indianapolis Colts fan. He also liked fast cars, music and the outdoors. He will be missed for his great sense of humor and his kindheartedness. Friends received from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, the Very Rev. Father John D. Byrnes. Committal, church cemetery.
