MORGAN - Ardath (McNaul), 86, formerly of Ebensburg, died November 17, 2012 at the Fairways, State College. Ardath was born November 15th, 1926 in Coalport, the only child of Logan John and Nellie (Askew) McNaul. On July 25, 1948, Ardath married James Lewis Morgan who preceded her in death on May 20, 1997. Ardath was a graduate of Ebensburg-Cambria High School and attended Indiana University of PA, where she was vice-president of her freshman class, and Cambria Rowe Business School. She was a member of Northern Cambria Symphony Auxiliary, an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Ebensburg, Girl Scout volunteer, and member of the Ebensburg Women’s Club. Ardath was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mother of three lovely children including her very special daughter Nell Anne who preceded her mother in death in 2009. She lived most of her life in Ebensburg moving in later years nearer to family in State College. During Jim’s military service Ardath lived in Missouri and Texas where she was active with the NCO Wives Organization. Ardath will be greatly missed by her children, Melinda, wife of Dan Stearns, State College, and Brett married to the former Gratia Fisher, Sudbury MA and three grandchildren, Andrew Stearns (Denver), Evan Stearns (State College) and Chase Morgan (Sudbury). She was loved by so many friends and caregivers who will miss her strength in the face of adversity and caring nature for those around her. Friends will be received from 10 am until time of Funeral services at 11 am Wednesday November 21rst, at the First Presbyterian Church in Ebensburg, Rev. James Farrer, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Parkinson’s Foundation and First Presbyterian Church of Ebensburg. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg.
