IAPALUCCI– Genevieve T., 94, Cresson, died Nov. 17, 2012, at home. Born May 28, 1918, in Cresson, daughter of the late Joseph and Rosaria (DiDomenico) Iapalucci. Preceded in death by brothers, Vincent, Michael, Nicholas, and Louis; sisters, Amelia Ashcraft, Louise Murphy and Mary Rose “Lucy” Iapalucci; niece, Theresa Iapalucci; and nephews, William Murphy and Joseph Iapalucci. Survived by niece, Catherine Iapalucci, and nephew, John Iapalucci, both of Cresson. Also survived by Dr. Elizabeth Murphy, Erin Smith (Michael), Keith Murphy, Deborah Iapalucci, Adrienne and Venita Iapalucci; close cousins, Anthony, Samuel and Michael Iapalucci and Mary Ann Pfrogner; and caregivers, Jean Stich and Tina Roberts. Graduated from Cresson High School in 1935 on her 17th birthday. Employed for 60 years at Frank Calandra Industries, Cresson, retiring at age 78. Member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson, where she attended daily Mass for many years. Also member of Cresson Senior Citizens, former member and treasurer of St. Vincent dePaul Society and former volunteer at St. Vincent dePaul Thrift Store, Cresson. Friends received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, the Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, church cemetery.
