TADDEI – Linda J., 64, Tunnelhill, died Nov. 24, 2012, at her home. Born Aug. 6, 1948, in Tunnelhill, daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (DeGol) Taddei. Survived by her brother, Daniel, married to Gloria Delloso, Altoona; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Bill) Ajay, David (Shawna) and Cindy (Ercu) Saracoglu, all of Altoona; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandis, Billy and Brooke Ajay, John and Karis Taddei and Ilayna and Sofia Saracoglu. Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Linda retired from Penn Cambria School District as an elementary teacher. She worked as a hostess and cashier at her brother’s restaurant, the Allegro, for 34 years. She was a Tunnelhill Borough councilwomen and also served as mayor. Member of the Italian Mutual Society, Gallitzin; finance council at St. Demetrius Church; and board member of the Gallitzin Alumni Scholarship Committee, serving as assistant treasurer. Member of PSEA. Linda enjoyed genealogy, gardening, flowers, her friends and traveling with her nieces and nephews. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Tuesday.
