HOLBY – Roger C., 66, Nanty Glo, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 27, 1946, in Belsano, son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Roles) Holby. Survived by wife, former Diane Waldron, Nanty Glo; children, Ginger (Tom), Nanty Glo, and Ryan (Paola), Annapolis, Md.; and grandchildren, Donny, Megan and Allison Thomas, Kelsie Patterson and Brendan and Brooke Holby. Brother of Carol (Harry) Sleppy, Penn Run; Tom (Karen), Nanty Glo; Mary Ellen Holby, Arizona; and Ken (Julie), Cylmer. Also mother-in-law, Dorothy Walron; sisters-in-law, Dolly (Louie) Kozlovac, Deborah O'Farrell and Joyce (Jeff) Price; and brothers-in-law, James (Kathy) Waldron and Jack (Lisa) Waldron, all of Nanty Glo. Member of Nanty Glo Legion and life member of Nanty Glo VFW. The loves of his life were his children and grandchildren and he loved watching them play sports. He enjoyed playing softball for the VFW, where he ran like a deer. He loved working with his flowers and in his yard. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Geno Bartoletti. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery. Veterans services will be held by the local veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Gridiron Club for the fieldhouse project, P.O. Box 111, Nanty Glo, Pa. 15943.
