WAKEFIELD – June (Osborne) Wakefield, 91, of Ebensburg, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, Maryland. June was the daughter of Howard D. and Anna M. (Kuhlman) Osborne, both deceased. In 2008, June moved to Maryland after the passing of her husband of 71 years, William H. Wakefield, Jr. She was the sister of the late Donald Osborne of Colver. She is survived by her children: Laurann Wakefield (Thomas) Ramirez, Ginny Wakefield and Jim (Lori) Wakefield. She adored her 5 grandchildren: Michael (Karen) Wakefield, Erin (Charles) Walker, Michelle (Justin) Church and Lauren and Madison Wakefield and Great Granddaughter, Makohe Wakefield. Her life was characterized by her outstanding work ethic and dedication to her family and community. June was an active leader in the Ebensburg Theta Rho Girls Club and an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Ebensburg. Our hearts go with our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend. Memorial services are planned Saturday, January 5, 2013, 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Ebensburg.
