BRACKEN – Wilda Alma (Singer), 93, of Ebensburg, passed away December 14, 2012 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born November 27, 1919 in Jackson Twp., daughter of the late George W. and Della (Simmons) Sell. Preceded in death by husbands Lyle Singer and Harold Bracken; four brothers and two sisters, she is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by daughters: Lorene (Junior) Folckemer, Johnstown, Eva (Barry) Wilson, Fairfield Montana, Lyla (Ronald) Yagoda, Lilly, and Sharon Bender, Summerhill. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A life long member of the Vinco Brethren Church, member of the Eastern Star and Jackson Twp. Ladies Auxiliary, she also volunteered her time at Laurel Crest Manor. She was a retired bookkeeper at the former Penn Traffic Company. The family also wishes to thank all of the staff and caregivers at Arbutus Park Manor and AseraCare for the great care Wilda received. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Pastor Wesley Lewis, officiating. Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Wilda’s Memory may be made to Arbutus Park Manor’s Doerr Unit, or AseraCare Hospice.
