MASH (MASCI) – Ernest, 90, Ebensburg, died Dec. 18, 2012, at home. Born May 3, 1922, in Dilltown, son of Anthony and Giacomina (Capretti) Masci. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, James, Genaro and Nello. Survived by loving wife of 65 years, the former Yola Bucci; children, Jacqueline Osman, Ernest (Beverly Berzonsky) Masci, Theresa (John) Oblinsky, Rose (Tim) Myers and George Masci, all of Ebensburg; and Valentino (Sally Cloherty), Duncansville; grandchildren, Michael (Dana) Tsikalas; James Tsikalas; Jonathan Osman; Jeff (Amy) Masci; Greg Masci; Julie Masci; Denail Oblinsky Fisher; and Heidi, Angela, Tim and Nick Myers; and great-grandchildren, Breanna, Jacob, Charlie Fisher, Kevin and Kyle Masci. Brother of Eda Semeo and Pia Mattero. Retired from Bethlehem Mines 32 Revloc after 42 years. Member of UMWA Local 850, Revloc. Army veteran of World War II. Member of American Legion Post 363, Ebensburg. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Thursday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
