BARNHART – Betty (Semelsberger), 84, Ebensburg, died Dec. 30, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 4, 1928, in Belsano, daughter of Harry and Mildred (Bracken) Semelsberger. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry P. (Barney); and sisters, Patty Semelsberger, Genevive Lupe, Ella Mae Pisarcik and Dorothy Williams. Survived by daughter, Harriett, wife of Lee Erickson, Ebensburg. Betty was a loving, caring and devoted wife and mother. She was a 4-H mom to the 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club for several years. She was a lifetime member of ASPCA. She loved cooking, camping, horse shows, but none could be surpassed by the love for her dogs. She loved and raised Belgium sheepdogs; they went everywhere with her. She was my horse show mom and traveled 30 years all over to the horse shows. She loved the outdoors and camping for more than 20 years and met many friends for coffee and mountain pies. She loved having family and friends for get-togethers and cooked up a huge feast. She will be sadly missed. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dr. Francis Brosius. Committal, Belsano Cemetery.
