ORGIS - Amelia, 88, formely of Colver, passed away January 29, 2013 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Always a good friend to everyone, in loving memory and with the greatest respect for our mother; there in good times and bad times, giving unconditional love and understanding. She was born July 10, 1924 in Houtzdale, the daughter of Jules and Felicia. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by husband Edmund, brothers: Archie, Arthur, and Jules; sister, Julienne; grandsons Jack Polinsky and Guy Orgis and son-in-law William Clark. Survived by children: Marie Polinsky, Ebensburg; Donald (Judi) Orgis, Revloc, Ronald (Linda) Orgis, Florida, and Rita (Skip) Clark-Davis, of Nevada. Also survived by grandchildren: Rob and Jeffrey Orgis, Paul Mallin, Jr., Scott Orgis, Olivia DeBalli, and Michael Polinsky and numerous great-grandchildren. Member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Colver and the Solidity and Legion of Mary. Retired from the former JoAnn Dress Factory in Ebensburg. She had been active in the Colver Fire Company Ladies Auxillary and Catholic Daughters of the Americas and was an avid bingo player. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Thursday, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Holy Family Church, Colver, the Rev. Fr. Bernard Grega, celebrant. Committal at Holy Family Cemetery, Colver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Consumer Activity Program, 119 Jari Drive, Johnstown, PA. 15904 or to Rebekah Manor, Resident Activity Fund, 4848 Admirel Peary Highway, Ebensburg, Pa. 15931
