PORT - Dorothy (Terndrup), 81, Tanner Street, Ebensburg, went to be with her Lord on July 14, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Philadelphia, daughter of George E. and Linnea (Thorgren) Terndrup. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Port; infant brother, Tom; and brothers, Herb and Jack. Survived by brother, George, and his wife, Marilyn, Strasburg, Va.; sisters-in-law, Helen Terndrup, Charlotte, N.C., and Verda Terndrup, Ebensburg; also many nieces and nephews. Dorothy had been a secretary for many different companies, the last being the Container Corp.; was the Women's Editor for the Belmont Banner Mount Holly News; and assisted her husband, who was a CPA. She moved from Charlotte to Ebensburg area five years ago and began attending the Ebensburg United Methodist Church. She loved to read, enjoyed listening to classical music and doing cross-stitch. She did the North American (Bird) Migration Count for several years. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage. There will be no viewing or visitation. A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Ebensburg United Methodist Church, the Rev. Roger Johnson. Memorial contributions may be sent to Ebensburg Free Public Library, 225 W. Highland Ave., Ebensburg, Pa. 15931, or Ebensburg United Methodist Church, in memory of Dorothy. Inurnment, Lloyd Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork.
