MENIE – Mary Joann, 85, Ebensburg, died March 9, 2013, at home. Born Sept. 28, 1927, in Barnesboro, daughter of Philip and Giovanina (Ciaravella) Baldacchino. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Albert, in 2009; sister, Josephine Scalise; and brother, James Baldacchino. Survived by son, Raymond; daughter- in-law, Michelle; grandson, Michael Menie; granddaughter, Jessica Menie; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Thanks to her special friend and care giver, Veronica Gregory, and her husband, Jess, and Windber Hospice. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Windber Hospice in Mary’s memory.
