ISAACSON - Robert Ray "Ike", 66, of Twin Rocks, died peacefully at home on November 26, 2013, under the loving care of his mother and two sisters. Preceded in death by father, Matthew; paternal grandparents, Isaac and Hilda Isaacson; and maternal grandparents, Ray and Twila Wike. Survived by his mother, the former Catherine Wike; sisters, Twila (Stephen) Koss and Cathy (Joseph) Hayes. Also survived by niece, Diana (Brad) Junker; nephews, Stephen (Michele) Koss and Derek Hayes; great niece, Kelsey Koss; and great nephews, Braden and Evan Junker and Bailey and Stephen Koss. Ike retired as Petty Officer 1st class air traffic controller after twenty-five years service in the US Navy. Current commander of the Twin Rocks VFW and past commander of the Ebensburg VFW. Member of the Nanty-Glo Legion and L.O.O.M. Ike liked playing golf with his Pleasant Valley golf buddies and was passionate about his service in the Twin Rocks VFW Ritual Team. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, the Rev. Clayton Harriger, officiating. Interment at UB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ike's memory may be made to Blacklick Twp. Veterans Memorial Park. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Vintondale and Twin Rocks VFW Ritual Team.
