SCANLAN Leonard C., 87, Stroudsburg, formerly of Ebensburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home. Born in Ebensburg, he was the son of the late Leo J. and Marie A. (Bard) Scanlan. Leonard was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 10 years, and prior to that, he was a lifelong resident of the Ebensburg area. Member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Survived by brothers, Norbert Scanlan, Stroudsburg; and Robert Scanlan, Riverdale, Md.; sister, Dorothy M. Miller, Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by sister, Mary L. Humbert; and brother, Clement Scanlan. Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at St. Michael s Catholic Church, Loretto. Burial, St. Michael s Cemetery following the Mass. There will be no visitation. Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. & Cremation Service, 23 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg, is in charge of the arrangements.
