Obituary of Paul J. Galko

GALKO - Paul J., 45, Nanty Glo, died Dec. 15, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 14, 1968, in Eastlake, Ohio. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Clayton Ray and Ann Ray Deetscreek and Nelo Deetscreek; paternal grandfather, John J Galko; and father-in-law, Ronald Butch Divieny. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, the former Debi Diviney, Nanty Glo. Survived by parents, Walter and Colleen Galko, Nanty Glo. Brother of Lisa (Marc) Vivian, Ashburn, Va.; and Walter Joe (Sandy) Galko, Nanty Glo. Also survived by grandmother, Mary Galko, Nanty Glo; mother-in-law, Marge Diviney, Twin Rocks; sisters-in-law, Connie (Ken) Waltemire, Waldorf, Md.; Joan (Frank) Villa, Twin Rocks; and Janice (George) Miller, Girard, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Eric and Lauren Vivian, Luke and Brooke Galko, Nicole Villa, Danielle (Josh) Artman and Curtis Gay; and special pet, Ruford. Member of St. Mary s Church, Nanty Glo. Employed by Lockheed Martin, Johnstown. Life member of Nanty Glo Fire Company, where the department service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Notre Dame and Steelers fan. He played baseball in the over-40 league in Indiana for Bob s Pizza. Enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews play sports. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake will be held Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary s Church, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary s Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
