BATTISTA - Josephine A. (Abramo), 101, of Somers, NY died January 24, 2014. Born August 1, 1912. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Battista of Somers; her son John J. Battista, Jr. (Patricia) of The Villages, Florida; her grandchildren: Laurie Ferretti (Robert) of Hillsborough, NJ, Amy Tiihonen (Michael Percival) of White Plains, NY, Christopher Tiihonen of Columbus, Ohio, and three great-grandchildren Andrew and Lucas Ferretti and Riley Percival. She is predeceased by her husband John J. Battista and grandson Robert Battista. A Funeral Mass will be scheduled at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church in Ebensburg on August 29th, 2014, followed by entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam. 540 White Plains Rd., Suite 300, Tarrytown, NY 10591-5132. Local arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
