KOVACH - Sharon L., 61, Twin Rocks, died Aug. 24, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 21, 1944, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Gregory) Kovach. Preceded in death by brothers, Francis and William, and sister, Eve. Survived by sister, Barbara Bardotz, and husband, Gerald, Springfield, Va., and sister-in-law, Joyce Kovach, Ebensburg. Sharon was an operations officer with the CIA in Washington, D.C., for 38 years. Upon her retirement in 2000, she received the Career Intelligence Medal and the Gold Medallion for Service. She also received the Director, Central Intelligence Quality Performance Award in 1996 and 1997, along with many other awards. There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, Father David Peles, celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting Masses in Sharon's name.
