Obituary of Edna Mae Winning

WINNING - Edna Mae, 91, of Northern Cambria, and formerly of Ebensburg, passed away April 11, 2014 at Miners Hospital of Northern Cambria County. Born November 11, 1922 in Mahaffey, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Sheesley. Preceded in death by husband William Winning; brother Harry Sheesley; sister, Margaret Bartlebaugh, and nephew Duane Sheesley, Jr. She is survived by her brother Duane Sheesley, of Nanty Glo; niece, Kathy (Al) Lee, with whom she resided in Northern Cambria; nieces: Donna (Chris) Parks, of Florida; Barbara Sheesley, of Nanty Glo and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Edna loved the Lord and loved to crochet and care for her dog Maggie and cat PF . She was a marvelous story teller and enjoyed a telling a good joke. She was retired from the former JoAnn Apparel Dress Factory in Ebensburg. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m., until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Marvin Lowery, officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
