SPECHT - Virginia Ann, 99, of Ebensburg, formerly of Crafton passed away April 24, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 20, 1914 in Coraopolis, daughter of the late William and Ida. Preceded in death by husband Edwin E. Specht and son-in-law Jack Shields, Jr. Survived by daughters: Marlyn (David) Dahlin, Ebensburg and Karen Shields, Gibsonia. Also survived by sister Olive Grice, Bradford. Grandmother to Christopher Dahlin, Erin Bergin, Megan Colt, and Hayley Filasky: and Great-Grandmother to Brooks, Carys, Kai, and Jax. Virginia had been employed for many years as a cashier and bookkeeper for the Woolworth and Buy Wise stores. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Rebekah Manor Activity Fund or The Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association. Arrangements in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc. Ebensburg, PA.
