Obituary of LeAnna Owatt

OWATT LeAnna (Mull), 86, of Johnstown, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away April 30, 2014 at Laurel View Village, Davidsville. Born June 7, 1927 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Floyd and Ferne (Ansell) Mull. Preceded in death by husband Philip D. Owatt who passed away in 1997. Survived by daughters: Diana, wife of Bob Smeal, Johnstown; and Kimberlee, wife of Larry Garvin, of Butler; grandchildren: Max Smeal, Philadelphia; Kelsie Garvin & fiance Jeff Kirk, Canonsburg, Pa., and Taylor Garvin of Butler. Also survived by sister, Linda (Russ) Seliga; aunt, Edna Cicero, as well as her lifelong friend Marion Moyer, all of Ebensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. LeAnna was a homemaker, but had worked as a telephone operator in her early years. She had been active in the former Rebekah Lodge and was a member and past worthy matron of the former Ebensburg Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She also served as an advisor to Theta Rho and served many years as a Girl Scout leader. A Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of LeAnna's family, the Rev. Jeff Bassette, her Laurel View Chaplain, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Donations in LeAnna s memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America (www.lupus.org).
