PUGH Josephine Jo (Mastrocola), 91, Davidsville, formerly of Jerome and Ebensburg, died Oct. 17, 2014, at Laurel View Village. Born Aug. 21, 1923, in Jerome, daughter of Tony and Daisy (Todero) Mastrocola. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William A., on May 31, 2014; and brother, Louis. Survived by daughter, Cindy, married to Al Dybeck, Pittsburgh; sister, Mary Louise, widow of Albert Wenzel; and brother, Leonard, married to Doris Oster, both of Syracuse, N.Y.; and sisters-in-law, Avon (Pugh), widow of Samuel English, Louisville, Ky.; and Lucy (Gironda), widow of Louis Mastrocola, Syracuse, N.Y. A 1941 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having attained the rank of corporal. She owned and operator a beauty shop in Jerome for many years. Former welcome wagon lady in Ebensburg and member of Ebensburg Presbyterian Church. She also had worked at Miss Pinkerton s shop, Ebensburg, for several years and was an excellent seamstress. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Wes Yoder, officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery, near Jerome, with graveside military rites accorded by Somerset County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, Ill., 60693, or Mary Grace Foundation, Interim Hospice, 322 Warren St., Suite 270, Johnstown, Pa., 15905, would be appreciated.
