HERNDON Frederick G. Bucky , 78, of Johnstown, and a native of Ebensburg, passed away after a brief illness April 5, 2015 at home. Born July 29, 1936 in Ebensburg, son of the late Oscar and Margaret (Dutton) Herndon. Preceded in death by sisters Geraldine and Frances Herndon, Edith Fairley, and Agnes Johnson, brothers Bobby & Gerald Herndon and grandson Thomas Rose. Survived by wife, the former Louise Rico to whom he was married 50 years, daughter Lisa (Thom) Herndon Rose, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sisters Freida Jane Webster, Johnstown, and Betty Craighead, Pittsburgh, and sister-in-law Flo Olexo, Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Bucky had been employed for many years in his father s trash hauling business. Private funeral arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family.
