Obituary of Thomas W. Reese

REESE - Thomas William, 70, of Cresson, passed away April 30, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born February 8, 1945 in Johnstown, son of Thomas and Leona (Reiland) Reese. He is survived by his parents, of Loretto; daughters: Kathleen (Jack) Hagen, Dearborn, MI.; Connie (Krystal) Reese, Frasher, MI.; Nicole Reese of Portage; son: Greg (Melissa) Reese of Cresson, and six grandchildren: Katelyn, Allissa, Casey, Sydnie, Zachary & Chelsea. Also survived by brothers and sisters: RaeAnn (Paul) Effinger, Dave (Barb) Reese, Bob (Shirley) Reese, Dennis (Susan) Reese, and JoAnn (John) Sally and many nieces and nephews. Tom retired in 2009 from the Youth Forestry Camp #3 in Huntingdon County, where he had served as a juvenile development aide. During his work career, he had also worked at the Ebensburg Center as well as Bethlehem Steel. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 4 8 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, the Rev. Fr. Jude Brady O.S.B., and Fr. Matthew Reese, officiating. Interment at St. Michael s Cemetery, Loretto. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tom may be made to his family.
