GLASS - Eric Charles, 54, died of natural causes on July 13, 2015 at his childhood home in Ebensburg, PA. Eric was born to Dolores Jean and the late Donald Bruce Glass on their anniversary, September 10, 1960. He loved life, his family and his sons- Jared Anthony and Nicholas Donald Glass. Eric was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Emma A. and Anthony S. Bellavia, paternal grandparents, John A. and Stella E. Glass, great-uncle, Charles Bellavia, Aunt Josephine Dolly Bellavia, Uncle Jerry McConnell, and many paternal aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his family members who always held his best interest at heart: his devoted mother, his brother, John (Mary Ellen) Glass, his sister, Audia J. (Jamie) Boyles, nephew, Donald Bruce Glass, nieces, Jacqueline M. Glass, Lexie E. Glass, Alexandra A. Boyles, Aunt Lillian McConnell, cousin Emily McConnell, sons, grandchildren Kevin and Autumn Glass, his paternal Aunt Thelma, numerous Glass family cousins and his beloved companion; his dog Chester. Eric graduated from Central Cambria High School in 1978 and was retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission after 25+ years of service. Eric was a great story teller, liked everyone and never held a grudge. He believed marriage was forever. Eric was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved his Steelers and Penn State Football games. Eric was very much loved by his mother, brother, sister, sister-in-law and brother-in-law who will miss him forever. He will also be missed by his close friends, Scott Bracken and Janet Dixon, who were always there when needed. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. David Lockard, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery.
