Obituary of Anna D. Kowalczyk

KOWALCZYK Anna D. (Hooder), 85, Nanty Glo, died Aug. 22, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Richland. Born Jan. 22, 1930, in Lilly, daughter of late John and Helen Hooder. Preceded in death by husband, Stanley; and sisters, Mary and Irene. Surviving are son, Ronald, and wife, Darlene (Sherry) Jacobs, Revloc, and their sons, Dr. Jason R., and wife, Holly (Richert) Jacobs, Kittanning, and Lucas, and wife, Tina (Corle) Jacobs, Salix; daughter, Sandra Jacobs, Johnstown, and her daughter, Lacie Jacobs, Derry; six great-grandchildren; brother, John Hooder; and sister, Helen Cadwallder. Member of St. Mary s Church, Nanty Glo. Anna was a hard worker, a fantastic mother who will be greatly missed, and a wonderful cook. Friends received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where liturgical wake will be held Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary s Church, the Rev. Father Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Mary s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Acera- Care Hospice, Johnstown.
