Obituary of Alicemarie Tewart

TEWART - Alicemarie (Nealen), 70, of Martina Lane, Johnstown, passed away April 29, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born February 24, 1940 in Jackson Twp., daughter of the late Vincent M. and Inez (Toner) Nealen. Preceded in death by infant daughter Angela. Survived by husband, William, to whom she was married 50 years, and these children: Robert (Karen) Tewart of Ligonier; Inez Berger of Mundy’s Corner; Curtis (Adriana) Tewart, Lemont, Illiniois; Billiemarie (Brian) Quam, Altus, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Brian William & Owen Lewis Tewart, Jonathan, Christopher & Nicholas Berger, Olivia Tewart, and Caroline Quam; and Great-grandchildren: Abigail Stewart and Aiden Berger. Sister of Bertha (Eric) Conibear, Alum Bank; Priscilla (Joe) Kozorosky, Nanty Glo; Jacob Nealen, West Virginia; Ronald (Connie) Nealen and William (Betty) Nealen of Mundys Corner; Vincent "Jerry" (Irene) Nealen, Kentucky; Teresa (William) Harker, Mundy’s Corner, Linda (Ray) Walk, North Carolina; Elaine (Lee) Hildebrand, Mundy’s Corner and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by beloved pet of 18 years, “Sueling”. Member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Mundy’s Corner, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Parish Council. She loved her family, traveling and crocheting. Had been employed at the former Jamesway Store and at the Windber Hospital. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Vianney Church.
